G.W.A.R. - School's Out

I've never been a big fan of G.W.A.R. Actually, I've never really even listened to their music before, so I can't say whether I like them or not. They definitely have a unique look. I came across this video today of them covering Alice Cooper's 70's hit, School's Out. It seems that their record label made them record a cover song in an effort to get some radio airplay, so they covered this song on their latest album Beyond Hell, which was released in 2006. Enjoy!

Skillet - The Older I Get

Skillet are an American Christian Rock band who frequently crossover into mainstream rock. The Older I Get was released as a single last year from their 2006 Comatose album. It peaked at #27 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts and #14 on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart. For the first part of their 2007 fall tour, they toured with Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace and Seether. Enjoy!

The Black Crowes Singing Goodbye Daughters of the Revolution on Leno

The Black Crowes are back after almost seven years with a new album called Warpaint. The first single from the album is called Goodbye Daughters of the Revolution, and it's currently at #35 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts. 3 Doors Down's latest single is called It's Not My Time, and it's currently sitting at #4 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts after only five weeks on the charts. Dream Theater - Forsaken

Forsaken is the latest single released from Dream Theater's album, Systematic Chaos, which was released last year. From Wikipedia -- Lead singer John Petrucci outlines the song as being about a man named Leo, jailed by an inhumane society, as seeing an apparition of a futuristic android, Alice, in the night. Alice guides him on nightly journeys through the sky, and through time, as she harvests his blood to bring life to inanimate mannequins, who then reenact the darkest events in history (of the future). Airbourne - Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast

For all of you who are fans of 80's heavy metal, you're gonna love Airbourne. Specifically, if you're a fan of AC/DC, then you'll probably like them because they sound a lot like them. Like AC/DC, they're also from Australia. Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast is their first charting single in the U.S. It's currently sitting at #16 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts. I wasn't familiar with them until I saw this video. I love this song, but then again, I'm definitely a sucker for bands that have that 80's rock sound. Enjoy!

Helloween - As Long As I Fall

Helloween are a speed metal band from Germany that have been around since the 80's. They just released a new CD in October of last year, and it is a really good CD. It's probably one of the best recent releases by an 80's metal band. This song, As Long As I Fall is a great song, but a pretty cheesy video. It doesn't matter though because the song is so good, it overshadows the bad video. Enjoy!

We Are Scientists - After Hours

We Are Scientists are an American indie rock band formed in 2000. The story behind their name is interesting. The band had rented a U-Haul truck, and when they returned it, the man inspecting the van asked the three band members who all wear glasses if they were scientists. They told him that they were musicians, but they took the name We Are Scientists from the experience. After Hours is their first single from their album Brain Thrust Mastery, which is due to be released on CD today. Enjoy!
