Chris Cornell Live Performance of Billie Jean

Chris Cornell covering Michael Jackson's Billie Jean (iTunes MP3). It doesn't sound like you think. I kind of like this. In fact, I really like it. Great job Chris. Looking forward to the new album. Enjoy!

Tinted Windows - Kind of a Girl

Tinted Windows is a new pop/rock band fronted by Taylor Hanson (former singer for Hanson). You may also notice the other guys in the band. They are former Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha, Fountains of Wayne bassist Adam Schlesinger and Bun E. Carlos, drummer for rock legends Cheap Trick. That's quite an eclectic lineup to say the least.

Tinted Windows is a side project for the guys as they are all also still active members of their other bands. They're debut album is set to be released on Tuesday, April 21, 2009, and they are playing select gigs around the country right now. You can check out their tour dates on their website at TintedWindowsMusic.com. This is their first single called Kind Of A Girl (iTunes MP3). Enjoy!

Whole Wheat Bread's Official Music Video For Bomb's Away

Today I thought I'd take a look at a punk rock band from Jacksonville, FL called Whole Wheat Bread. Bomb's Away (iTunes MP3) is the first single from their second full length album Hearts of Hoodlums. According to Wikipedia, "This album is said to have received help from Lil Jon, Tim Armstrong, MURS, and Mike McColgan." Enjoy!

John Mellencamp's Official Video For Troubled Land

John Mellencamp was one of the best rock artists of the late 70's and 80's when he was pumping out hit after hit like Jack and Diane (Video), Hurts So Good (Video) and Pink Houses (Video). Lately, he's still been recording and releasing albums, but his music has become much more political in nature. Because of this, he hasn't enjoyed the type of success he used to on the charts, but he's at a point in his career where he doesn't have to worry about the charts. I'm sure he's made plenty of money over the years.

His last top ten hit in the U.S. was Key West Intermezzo (I Saw You First) from his 1996 Mr. Happy Go Lucky album. It peaked at #10 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts. Troubled Land is the second single from his latest album called Life, Death, Love and Freedom. The first single from the album was My Sweet Love (Watch Video), which peaked at #25 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary charts.

The Killers Spaceman Official Music Video

Spaceman is The Killers' second single from their 2008 Day & Age album. It's currently at #9 on the Billboard Modern Rock charts and #67 on the Billboard Hot 100. The first single, Human was a huge success in Europe, peaking at #1 in Norway and #3 in the U.K. In the States, it went to #1 on the U.S. Club Play charts, but only peaked at #6 on the Modern Rock and #32 on the Hot 100 charts. I don't think Spaceman is strong enough to beat Human's performance.

The Fray - You Found Me

You Found Me is the first single from The Fray's 2008 self-titled album. It's currently at #15 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. In an interview, lead singer Isaac Slade expressed his meaning behind the lyrics of the song:

"You Found Me is a tough song for me. Its about the disappointment, the heart ache, the let down that comes with life. Sometimes you’re let down, sometimes you’re the one who lets someone else down. It gets hard to know who you can trust, who you can count on. This song came out of a tough time, and I’m still right in the thick of it. There’s some difficult circumstances my family and friends have been going through over the past year or so and can be overwhelming. It wears on me. It demands so much of my faith to keep believing, keep hoping in the unseen. Sometimes the tunnel has a light at the end, but usually they just look black as night. This song is about that feeling, and the hope that I still have, buried deep in my chest."
