Nickelback - Animals @ AOL Sessions

Animals was released as a radio only single by Nickelback back in late 2005. It was the 2nd single released from their All The Right Reasons CD. This is a great song to crank up in your car on a road trip. It's also got some serious legs considering I still hear it almost every morning on the radio coming into work, and it's over two years old now. (It's also funny to hear some people sing the words, because I don't think they quite understand exactly what the song is about...)

It peaked at #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts, and Nickelback usually opens up their concerts with the song because the songs intensity quickly gets the crowd going. They didn't shoot an official video for the song, but they did record an AOL Sessions video. Here it is. Enjoy!

Godsmack - Speak

Speak by Godsmack went to #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts back in March of 2006 and spent six weeks atop the chart. The song has only four lines in addition to the chorus. It's definitely my favorite Godsmack song and video. Enjoy!

Metallica - The Ecstasy of Gold and St. Anger

Metallica released their version of "The Ecstasy of Gold", a musical composition by Ennio Morricone, earlier this year as a single. It's been the introductory music for their concerts since 1983. They are working on a new album that's due out next year. Their last full length album was 2003's St. Anger. The title track peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock charts that year.

The video below for The Ecstasy of Gold was put together by someone on YouTube using photos of the band. They did a great job. Enjoy both videos!

Spiderbait - (Ghost) Riders in the Sky and Black Betty Music Videos

Spiderbait's (Ghost) Riders in the Sky was featured in Nicholas Cage's recent movie, Ghost Rider. The first video features scenes from the movie set to the song. The second video is for their hit single, Black Betty, which was released back in 2004, but didn't gain a lot of steam in American until last year, but it went to #1 in their native Australia. Enjoy both videos!
