Green Day - Working Class Hero

Today is Green Day's drummer Tre Cool's 36th birthday - Happy Birthday Tre. The guys haven't released a new album in a while, but I thought I'd feature a cover they did back in 2007 of John Lennon's Working Class Hero. They recorded the song for Instant Karma: The Amnesty International Campaign to Save Darfur, which was released on June 12, 2007 and proceeds went to help support Amnesty International's campaign to focus attention on the conflict in Darfur, Sudan. This is a really good cover of a great song. Here's Lennon's original version. Enjoy!

+44 - 155 Unofficial Music Video

+44 is the band that ex-Blink 182 members Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus formed in 2004. They've only released one album so far - 2006's When Your Heart Stops Beating. The last single they released from the album was called 155, which they released in 2007. It didn't receive enough airplay to chart on any of the major charts. This video is an unofficial video that consists of raw concert footage shot by a friend of Mark Hoppus. Enjoy!

For all of you who are fans of 80's heavy metal, you're gonna love Airbourne. Specifically, if you're a fan of AC/DC, then you'll probably like them because they sound a lot like them. Like AC/DC, they're also from Australia. Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast is their first charting single in the U.S. It's currently sitting at #16 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts. I wasn't familiar with them until I saw this video. I love this song, but then again, I'm definitely a sucker for bands that have that 80's rock sound. Enjoy!

Helloween - As Long As I Fall

Helloween are a speed metal band from Germany that have been around since the 80's. They just released a new CD in October of last year, and it is a really good CD. It's probably one of the best recent releases by an 80's metal band. This song, As Long As I Fall is a great song, but a pretty cheesy video. It doesn't matter though because the song is so good, it overshadows the bad video. Enjoy!
