Dokken - Alone Again

Today, I want to flashback to 1985 when Dokken released their second studio album Tooth and Nail. Alone Again was the second single released from the album, and it's Dokken's highest charting single on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Mainstream Rock charts. It peaked at #64 on the Hot 100 and #20 on the Mainstream Rock charts. It's amazing that more of their songs didn't chart higher on the Mainstream Rock charts because I consider them one of the better rock bands of all the 80's hair bands. They just never received the same type of promotion as Poison, Ratt, Cinderella and others. Enjoy!

Tesla - I Wanna Live

Tesla just released their 7th studio album called Forever More on October 7, 2008. The first single from the album is called I Wanna Live. This is Tesla's first album of new material since 2004's Into the Now. Currently, the song is sitting at #38 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts. Enjoy!

Dokken - Standing on the Outside (Live)

80's Rock stalwarts Dokken released Lightning Strikes Again this year, which is their first studio album since 2004's Hell to Pay. The first single from the album is called Standing on the Outside. This video features live footage from June 21, 2008 at the Red River Valley Fair in West Fargo, ND. It's great to see these guys back with such a great song. Enjoy!

Tesla - Led Zeppelin's Thank You and Little Suzi

Tesla released their version of Led Zeppelin's major hit, Thank You as a single earlier this year. It's a really good version of the song. Unfortunately, I wish a lot of the 80's hair bands would release some new stuff rather than always doing covers of older songs. (See Poison's latest single What I Like About You).

Thank You is definitely a far cry from Tesla's heyday when they were pumping out songs like my favorite from the band called Little Suzi, but it's nice to see Tesla back at it again. They really are one of the best bands to come out of the 80's. Enjoy!
