Joan Jett's Nissan Live Sets Performance From Yahoo! Music

I was a teenager in the 80's, and my favorite song for years was Joan Jett and the Blackhearts' I Love Rock 'n Roll. I remember recording the song on cassette while listening to it on the top 40 countdown on the radio. (For those of you who weren't born in the 70's or early 80's, back then, we actually set a tape recorder next to the radio and recorded songs.) Sure, the quality wasn't the best, but that didn't matter. Back then, just the fact that we could rewind and play a song again whenever we wanted to was awesome.

Anyway, enough reminiscing about my past. Here's an incredible set featuring Joan Jett and Blackhearts courtesy of Yahoo! Music's Nissan Live Sets. They sing some of their early hits as well as some of their new songs. So, grab a beer, soda or whatever it is you like to drink and sit back and enjoy this good ole' fashioned rock 'n roll show.

Billy Idol - Scream

Scream was the first single from Billy Idol's 2005 Devil's Playground album. It peaked at #38 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts. Devil's Playground was Idol's sixth studio album, and it was the first time that guitarist Steve Stevens had played on an album with Idol since 1986 when he released Whiplash Smile. Enjoy!

Social Distortion - Far Behind

Social Distortion are getting up there in age, but they're still sounding pretty good for a middle-aged punk rock band. This song is called Far Behind, and it's a 2007 single from their Greatest Hits album. 1990's Ball and Chain is still my favorite song by the band. Enjoy!
